Na No Wri Mo
I'm drafting a novel for Na No Wri Mo Month. It's exhausting, and I hope that it's a decent piece. The rule is to write and worry about the editing and revisions later.

Experiences into Lines
Life, I find, gives experience, to share. I collect lines to create poetry and short stories. If you want to write, I'd say, look around you. Eric Clapton said that all you have to do to write the blues is to look around. Life is all around you, to share.

I Let My Poems Speak for Me
Once there was a quiet librarian, who often seemed busy, but she was someone I wanted to meet. Also I realized she was at work, so I resisted talking to her much. So I started showing her some of my poems. It became kind of a shorthand about what I was doing, and an icebreaker for future conversations, and we became friends. When I asked librarians to do research for me, she was often the one who's do it. One of my requests was pretty involved. She also advised me about when I had questions about certain computer programs. Through time, we became good friends, telling each other about our lives.

Literary Collage Workshop
Yesterday I did a workshop on Literary Collage at The Society of Great River Poets' Creative Writing Retreat. The participants were attentive. We all had secret assignments, and for mine, I started work on another literary collage.

A Kind of Paradise Lost
Often I write poetry about connections to nature. Sometimes I write poems about a paradise that was lost, such as the intrusion of cities into farmland and prairie land.
